For the fourth year in a row, Asia Green Real Estate took part in the Global Real Estate Run. 23 colleagues from our offices worldwide participated in this year's running event, contributing to the planting of 138 new trees.

The real estate sector is responsible for roughly 40% of the global CO₂ emissions, making sustainability a shared responsibility across our industry. The Global Real Estate Run encourages participants to take tangible steps toward reducing their environmental footprint — planting one tree for every kilometer completed.

According to the United Nations Environment Programme, restoring forests could reduce global emissions by 10 to 18 gigatonnes annually by 2050. Planting trees not only captures carbon but also supports biodiversity, enhances soil health, and strengthens ecosystems for future generations.

Since its inception, the Global Real Estate Run has already led to planting of more than 42'000 trees worldwide.
